Brock Lesnar, What If he came back to WWE?

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Brock Lesnar, he is the current UFC Heavyweight Champion.  Brock will be putting that title up for grabs at UFC 121 against Cain Velasquez.  But win or lose, he has already made quite a name for himself in MMA.  Certainly his career would be far from over should he lose.  But what if?

Taking a cue from my days of collecting comics, I thought it would be fun to do a little “What If”  And in this case, what would happen if Brock Lesnar decided to go back to the WWE?  There would seem to be no good reason to go back to Pro Wrestling, except for the money. He would definitely make huge cash as a returning Champion, and the man who conquered the World of MMA.  But lets look at what might be possilbe motivation for such a return.  What possible storylines we could expect, should Brock Lesnar decide he wants to be back with WWE.  And who would he face?

Jack Swagger.     The All American, American, and Kurt Angle clone, would be a natural first opponent for Brock.  With his size, and amateur background skills, Swagger would be a perfect match for Lesnar.  If done right, these two could put on some very entertaining matches, showcasing their individual skills, before going all out in a brawl that would eventually lead to Brocks power being too much for Swagger.  As far as storyline goes, this one would be along the lines of Swagger being jealous of Brocks success, and wanting to knock off the returning hero, to prove that he is superior.

John Cena.     After disposing of Jack Swagger, the next logical step would be to go after the WWE golden boy.  The motivation behind this would be obvious.  Brock, having been “The Man” in the MMA World would then challenge the “Paper Champion” John Cena, for his WWE Title.  Both of these men are powerhouses, and a collision between the two would be like two trains hitting head on at full speed.  With strength being almost equal, and both using similar fiishers ( actually, Cena’s attitude adjustment was originally called the F.U. as his way of mocking Brocks F5)  the match might just come down to submissions.  Cena’s favourite of course being the STF.  But with added experience under his belt, Brock would have the edge in this department.  I can only imagine what kind of crowd response a match like this would have.  Cena being the man everybody loves to hate, and Lesnar, who relishes playing the heel.  But I would picture this match ending with what would seem like an impossible finish.  Cena taps out and the crowd goes wild.

The Undertaker.     Having done the unthinkable, defeating John Cena for his WWE Championship, the next course of action would be the final challenge.  Take on, and defeat The Undertaker at the main event of Wrestlemania.  I will suppose for the sake of this article that Taker would be holding the Heavyweight Championship, and that this would be the unification match that is being rumoured right now.  I can only imagine the hype, and the buyrates that a main event like this could bring in.  Taker and Lesnar have history together, with both men having defeated the other,  so the threat to Undertakers undefeated streak would be very real.  Brocks MMA experience makes him a much more deadly opponent than he was before, but Taker is also a big fan of mixed martial arts, and has worked some of what he has learned into his own arsenal.   Now this kind of match would probably not be on par with something like Taker vs Sean Michaels, but it would certanly be as good as, if not better than the match that Undertaker had with Batista at WM 23.   Either way, this would be Wrestlemania, and that is where Undertaker matches shine.  These two would pull out all the stops, and give the crowd all those heart stopping moments we have come to expect when we feel “the streak” is being threatened.  But in the end, the last man standing, after a Tombstone Piledriver, would be The Undertaker.  The Titles would be unified, and Brock would have to try and win the Championship at a later date.  Or, having failed in his mission, would simply go back to the UFC.

TNA Victory Road 2010, Results/Review

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

The WWE has SummerSlam, and over in TNA, they have Victory Road.  I have to say first off, that on paper, this looked to be a pretty solid Pay Per View.  And  for the most part, Victory Road did not disappoint.   So let us move on to the match results.

Douglas Williams vs Brian Kendrick…..Ultimate X match……..winner….Douglas Williams.

It seems that TNA is going back to some of the things that used to work for them in the past.  Such as opening a Pay Per View with an X-Division match.   And this one happened to be an Ultimate-X match, for the X-Division Title.   Now the stipulation for this one was, that it can be won in the typical way (taking down the big red X, or Title Belt).  Or by submission.  I had a bad feeling that this would not be a very good match, and I was half right.  It was a good match.  A good, normal match.  But for an Ultimate-X match, it was lousy.  I will be one very happy camper when somebody takes the X-Division Title away from Williams, so we can go back to seeing what these guys do best.  High Octane, fast paced action.   To see an Ultimate X match won by submission is just sad.

Brother Ray vs Jesse Neal vs Brother Devon……….winner…..Brother Ray.

Here is one feud that I don’t see going anywhere.   Ray and Devon need each other, because as much as Ray has spouted off in interviews that Devon is nothing without him, its also true that Ray would be nothing without Devon.  And we have Jesse Neal in the mix, getting pounded for some apparent disrespect that Ray feels he got from his trainee.  Ray is mad at Jesse, Devon is mad at Ray, and it all makes for a boring match with Devon being locked in the back until the very end, when he finally gets free, makes it to the ring, and accidentally gets speared by Neal.  Ray hits a Bubba Bomb on Jesse, and its over.  Hopefully this whole situation ends soon too.

Angelina Love vs Madison Rayne…….winner…….Angelina Love.

Madison Rayne has been billed as the Career Killer for the last couple of months, after using the stipulation that should she win, her opponent must retire.  This has eliminated both Tara, and Roxxi, and in this match for the Knockouts Title, it threatened the Career of Angelina Love.  It was nice to see a decent Knockout Match, since they seem to have all but put the Knockouts Division on the back burner.  Rayne has been allowed to show off some of her skills, and Angelina is always fun to watch.  This was a good back and forth match, that ended with a bit of controversy, when a mysterious woman rode up on a motorcycle and interfered in the match.  Which ended up getting Madison DQ’ed.  Which in turn, (per stipulation) made Angelina the new Knockouts Champ.   But just who was under that motorcycle helmet anyway?

A.J. Styles & Kazarian  vs  A Mystery Team………winners…..Styles and Kazarian

Going into this match, Styles and Kaz had no idea who they would be facing, until they were announced.   It turned out to be, the Global Champion Rob Terry, and his partner Samoa Joe.  This was definitely a surprise, and it was nice to see that they included the Global Champion, since they haven’t had any other uses for him recently.  As far as the Match itself, this was one great tag team war.  Even Terry seemed to be doing a good job, which is saying a lot considering the other three talents in the ring.   These are the kinds of matches that TNA needs to have more of.  And of course by the end of the match,  A.J. and Kaz seemed to be getting along, and working well together, which was Flairs real reason for teaming them up in the first place.

Matt Morgan vs Hernandez……..winner….Hernandez.

Two of TNA’s biggest and strongest men, locked in a steel cage.  It certainly sounds like you can’t go wrong.   And I’m happy to say, it didn’t.   I half expected this one to fail, just because Hernandez still seems to be a bit sloppy in the ring.   But thankfully it wasn’t all that bad.  Most of it seemed to be Morgan, beating the hell out of Hernandez, and at one point he could have just walked out of the cage and won, but he decided to come back in and inflict more punishment.  That turned out to be a mistake.  After beating up Hernandez a bit more, he handcuffed him to the ring ropes, then climbed to the top of the cage.  But while Morgan was perched on top,  Super Mex broke the cuffs, and dived head first through the cage door, busting it open for the win.  One of the most unique endings I have ever seen for a cage match.

Ric Flair vs Jay Lethal…..winner……Jay Lethal.

This is probably one match that the card could have done without.  With all due respect to Ric Flair, this feud could have ended with this match being on Impact.  It was almost painful to see Lethal, have to slow down so much, just so Flair could look half decent.  After many eye pokes, and the typical Flair Fail, from the top rope, Lethal locked in his own figure four, and made the Nature Boy tap out.

Beer Money vs The Motor City Machine Guns…….winners……M.C.M.G’s

Like the crowd at the Impact Zone chanted at the end of this, all I can say is…FINALLY !!  Like the tag match earlier in the night, this one was terrific.  But that is always the case when The Guns are in a match.  This is how Tag Team Wrestling should be, and its the type of tag matches that helped put TNA on the map to begin with.  Plenty of momentum switches, and even a false finish, that lead to the match being re-started.  But in the end, the fans got what they have been craving for so long.  The Guns, have won the Tag Team Championship.

Kurt Angle vs The Pope…….winner……Kurt Angle.

Not one single person would have bet against Angle in this match.  His quest to move up the ranks until he gets to number 1 will not be stopped.  At least not this early on.  And to The Popes credit, it really didn’t matter to him if he won or not.   Either way, these two put on a great show, and would probably have one hell of a feud under different circumstances.  But this was a one off, and now Angle can move on to his next victim.

Rob Van Dam vs Abyss vs Mr Anderson vs Jeff Hardy…….winner…..Rob Van Dam

I normally do not like 3 and 4 way matches, because they tend to get bogged down with too much going on, or people having to sell a move, and laying outside the ring for extended periods of time.   This was a little bit better than that.  In fact, I didn’t really notice the down time of the people that weren’t involved in the main action too much.  This was about as good as a 4 person match can get, with enough action and mayhem to keep you entertained until the end.  Which saw RVD hit a 5 star frog splash on all 3 of his opponents at the same time, then pinning Anderson, who was on the bottom.

My final thoughts on Victory Road is that, despite a slow start, the card kept getting better and better.  It seems that the people at the top are finally listening to the fans, and giving us the type of matches we want.  I hope this is a sign of things to come.  I would rank this one a B +

TNA’s New Top 10 Ratings For June

Friday, June 18th, 2010

The votes have been counted,  and the brain trust at the top of TNA have sat down and looked over their roster, and have come up with a new top ten ranking for the month of June.   I had a few issues with the first top ten that was announced, and this one is no different.  But this time around, they did a much better job, and the problem I have with the top ten has more to do with one of their “Champions”  So here is the current listing.

     10)   Kurt Angle.   9)  Desmond Wolfe.   8)   The Pope.   7)   Jay Lethal.   6)   Samoa Joe.   5)   Sting.   4)   A.J. Styles.   3-2-1)   Three way tie.  Jeff Hardy, Abyss, and Mr Anderson.

So lets take a quick look at the bottom five first.   Kurt Angle at number ten knocks Kaz out of the bottom spot, and this is Angles first step on his quest to defeat everybody in the top ten.  Desmond Wolfe drops from 6 to 9, and this isn’t much of a surprise since he hasn’t been doing well in his feud with Abyss, but he should still be ranked higher than the person ahead of him in the number 8 spot.  The Pope is out with an injury.  That he is still in the top ten is a bit of a stretch, and that he’s ranked higher than Wolfe just isn’t right.  Number 7 goes to Jay Lethal, who wasn’t even in the top ten last month.  This is a great start, and it looks like he will keep moving up as they begin to push this young star, and get him ready for the main event.  At number 6 we have Samoa Joe.  Last month I was shocked to see him stuck in the number 9 position, and predicted he would rise fast, and he has.  He still has to get back into the World Title mix a bit more, but I think by the time next months ratings roll around, he will be up near the top.  Finally, at number 5 is Sting.   This is right about where The Stinger should have actually been last month, but they wanted him in the main event for Slammiversary, so he got the top ranking.    I expect he will sink lower, as his feud with Jeff Jarret heats up, and the younger stars at the bottom start to move up.

Now for the top 5.  This one is a lot easier, since they did the three way tie for the top spot.  But at number 4 is A.J. Styles.  Styles has fallen two spots since last month, and this is pretty much what you would expect with all the chaos going on with him and Ric Flair, and the whole Stable that he is putting together.   As for the top 3.  Yep, we have a tie.  Jeff Hardy and Mr Anderson move up from 3 and 4, to being in the top spot, and Abyss jumps into the top 3, from his spot at number 5 last month.  I don’t have any problem with any of this, since Abyss was rated a bit low in my opinion last month, and the other two really didn’t change.  This is just a nice little way of setting up the 4 way match at the next Pay Per View.  Not having to commit to a top contender this month also buys them a little bit of time to see how things pan out with Hardy and his legal battles,  Mr Anderson being a good guy now, and Abyss going crazy again.

Now, as for my gripes with this months list.  Aside from what I said during my breakdown of the top ten itself, I really only have one.  And it is this.   Rob Terry, the TNA Global Champion, is not on the list.   That’s right, the person who supposedly holds a Singles Championship that seems to be secondary only to the World Title, is not in your top ten.   Don’t get me wrong, I think that Terry can’t wrestle any better than I can perform Brain Surgery, but he is still a Champion.  The Pope is sitting out with an injury, and he’s at number 8 ?    This speaks volumes as to how valuable that Championship really is.

Now to wait and see what happens next month.

TNA. Against All Odds 2010 Review. (Spoilers)

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

First off I have to say that I don’t usually post spoilers with my reviews, but because of the nature of this particular Pay Per View;  the eight man tournament, I felt it was necessary.  Secondly, I have to say that thus far I have noticed an improvement in the quality of the last two PPVs.    So let us get on with the mathces.  The first out of the gate was The Pope vs Desmond Wolfe.  These two have had at it a couple of times, and just like their prior matches this one was good.  Naturally because this was a tournament, we couldn’t expect the first round match ups to be very long, but for the time they had they put on a good show.  And you always see something original out of Wolfe.  But this time out, The Pope got the win, and advanced.  Next up was the Tag Team Champions going head to head.  Hernandez vs Matt Morgan.  On paper this looked like it would be very interesting.  Unfortunatley it was not .  Morgan is capable of pulling off a good match, but sometimes he is only as good as his opponet.  And Hernandez is still just too green.  They lumbered around the ring, and did their thing, but in the end Morgan got the victory, and at the same time he managed to screw Hernandez over a bit, thus planting the seed for their eventual demise (in my opinion)  The third first round match was Mr Anderson vs Kurt Angle.   This was certainly one of those matches that I wish had more time.  It was very good, but if it was a main event, it could have been excellent.  Angle still has lots of go left in him, and Anderson just has that ability to get the crowd going, while still putting on a great match.  After this one was done, I just could not help asking myself, why in the hell did the WWE ever let Anderson go? And yes, somehow Anderson was able to beat Kurt Angle .  Now on to the last of the first round matches.  This one featured Mick Foley vs Abyss.  The stipulations for this match were simple. It was no DQ.  And as an added bonus, both men were told that if the barbed wire bat was not used, that Abyss would be unmasked on Impact.  Now, these days, Foley has no business in a ring, and it shows.  Mercifully this one was short, and the use of thumbtacks made it a fun ending.  But despite Abyss getting the win, the bat was never used.  I guess the mask is coming off soon.  Now, as for the rest of the tournament, I will keep the other rounds winners a secret.  But your second round matchups were The Pope vs Matt Morgan, and Mr Anderson vs Abyss.  I can’t give everything away.  But I will say that I did not really expect how things eventually turned out.  But for sure the final match was a winner.  In fact, it was the final match of the card.    That had more to do with giving the men a break between rounds, but I honestly thought It was better than the World Title match between A.J. Styles and Samoa Joe.  I’ll get to them in a second, but I do want to mention the one low part of the night.  Team 3D vs The Nasty Boys.  I understand that The Nastys are Hogans boys and all, but they really are not very good.  In fact It’s almost painful to watch them lumber around the ring.  Team 3D after all these years can still get the crowd going, and put on a good match, but even they had trouble making these two stiffs look good.  And with the surprise appearance of The Nasty Boys manager at the end of the match, It looks like they will be sticking around.  But lets move on to the World Title Match.  Samoa Joe has finally rid himself of the face paint, and the whole Nation Of Violence thing, and is looking like the Joe of old.  Just a wrecking machine.  On the other hand, we now have A.J., who came out in a Ric Flair type robe, that made him look like a blue chicken, and blonde highlights in his hair.  Thankfully the changes in the looks did not affect his Wrestling ability.  As you would expect, these two had a great match.  With Flair at ringside, you have to expect some kind of funny business now and again, but for the most part it was just a solid effort from two very good Wrestlers.  So, in my opinion I would have to say that this was yet another good PPV from the Hogan/Bischoff team.  very few weak matches, and some twists you might not expect.  The only thing missing was an X-Division match, but thats for two reasons. 1) the tournament, but more importantly 2)  Destination X, is going to be an all X-Division Pay Per View.  Now THAT should be something to see.

TNA’s Damage control

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

So here we are only one week after the fiasco that was the re-creation of the Montreal Screwjob on Impact, and It appears that a little bit of back peddling is going on.  Yes, the incident  was highlighted.  But for the most part It was explained away quickly, and thus we got back to the show.  In a nut shell, Earl Hebbner took the blame and said he was paid off by Ric Flair to do It. Kurt Angle appologizes to Hogan for spitting on him, and Hogan tells Angle if he ever does something like that again, he’ll be fired.   All wrapped up nice and neat in just a few short segments.  Somebody, somehow, must have noticed the reaction to this little bit, and decided to get it done and over with as quickly as possible.  I for one am very glad that this happened, especially since the rest of Impact seemed to be back to normal.  Which typically means, more actual Wrestling.  The start of a new tournament to crown a number one contender for A.J.’s World Title, and a new ranking system in TNA, should make things more interesting for a while.  And straight from the rumour mill, there are rumblings of an all X-Division Pay Per View.  Now that would certainly be something to watch.  And It would show that the new “powers that be” aren’t about to brush the X-Division off.  Now if things can build more along these lines, I think Impact will continue to get better.  But we will just have to wait and see.

Hogan-Bischoff, The job thus far

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

So, here we are only a couple of weeks into the new era of  TNA, with Hulk Hogan, and Eric Bischoff at the helm.  They say you only get one chance to make a first impression, but in this case I beg to differ.  These two are going to be judged each and every week for quite some time.  Just using the first two weeks as an example, we have seen some changes, some good, others not so much.  Personally I enjoyed the Genesis Pay Per View.  Not all of it was great, but It did have It’s moments.  The debut of Mr Anderson was certainly a highlight, even if his match wasn’t the greatest.  Seeing a traditional 4 sided ring will take some getting used to as well, and thus far the fans in the impact zone have been very vocal about their dissaproval of it.  I’m sure that will fade in time though.  But what about some of the other changes taking place?  We have new faces popping up.  Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, Orlando Jordan, Brian Kendrick, Sean Morley, The Nasty Boys, Mr Anderson, and Jeff Hardy.  And from the sounds of it, there will be more to come.  Now of course not all of these people are new, or at least not new to TNA.  And this raises the question, what about the original talent?  As nice as it is to be surprised, and see somebody new on the scene, the wrestlers who have been there the longest, and have already established themselves, better not get lost in the shuffle.  It’s a bit too early to tell how this will work out, but I am hoping to see a good mix of the old and the new.  That being said, I did get that old familiar feeling while watching impact.  It felt like I was watching the WWE.  Opening the show with an interview that just seemed to drag on and on, and for a two hour show I don’t recall seeing as much actual wrestling as I’m used too.  Then It happened.  At the very end of Impact. The rematch between A.J Styles and Kurt Angle.  They re-create the infamous Montreal Screwjob.  Seriously, what the hell are they thinking?  We have Angle playing the part of Bret Hart, right down to spitting in Hogans face (Hogan playing the part of Vince McMahon of course)  Up to this point I was giving Hogan and Bischoff credit for shaking things up, and trying to make TNA look, and feel like a bigger and better show.  But this was just plain laughable.  I guess It will get attention, which is the whole point, and I am curious to see where they go with it, but I would rather they come up with something original.  Because THAT is what set TNA appart from the competition in the first place.  So for now, I will say that the job being done thus far has been good, but stunts like that last one will turn people off in a hurry.  But we’ll just have to wait and see.

TNA Genesis 2010 Review

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

This years Genesis Pay Per View was certainly a night of firsts.  The first PPV of the year, the very first one under the leadership of Hulk Hogan, and Eric Bischoff, and the first time in a TNA ring  for at least one new wrestler.  I will be bending my no spoiler rule just a little bit for this post, simply because 2 matches on the card saw the debut of somebody new in the company, and It’s hard to comment on matches when refering to mystery people.  But I will not give away match results, as per usual.  This leads us directy into the opening of the show.  Hogan and Bischoff came to the ring and cut a little promo, and at times got mixed reactions from the crowd.  The first one due to the fact that the 6 sided ring is now gone, and has been replaced with a traditional 4 sided one.  This prompted a very funny “we want 6 sides” chant from the crowd.  Of course Hogan did his best to win them back, and took a verbal shot directly at Vince McMahon, then they left the ring.  Now on to the action.  The first match was for the X-Division title.  TNA tends to open with these because they are very fast paced and exciting, and this one certainly didn’t dissapoint.  Amazing Red was to defend against a mystery opponet, who we find out is one Brian Kendrick.  This was a very good opening match, and if Kendrick had any ring rust, It wasn’t showing very much.  A lot of innovative moves and counters in this one.  Definitely a good way to start off the show. I was just hoping the rest of the card would be as good.  I was soon to be let down.  The next up was Sean Morley vs Daniels.  Don’t get me wrong, this was not a train wreck of a match.  But Sean Morley is just a little past his prime, and his ring rust was a tad more apparent.  All things considered, this match could have been a lot worse had it not been for the efforts of Daniels.  He made Morley look as good as possible, but the crowd wasn’t buying it.  Despite the fact that Daniels was supposed to be the “bad guy” in this one, he was cheered for the most part, and Morley was boo’ed whenever he hit something.  But lets move on.  Next up was the Knockouts.  Tara was challenging ODB, in a 2 out of 3 falls match.  The knockouts are usually very entertaining, and the matches are fairly short.  And this one was no exception.  I just hope that with the new direction that the company is going in, that they don’t leave the knockouts behind.  I liked this match, and am always surprised at what some of these women can do, but I feel that they need to get some more new talent in.  After the Knockouts, came the Tag Team Championship match.  We have the British Invasion facing Matt Morgan and Hernandez.  This seemed to be pretty much by the numbers.  Nothing really exciting, or entertaining.  I think the two teams involved just lacked some kind of chemestry.  It had It’s moments, but overall I found it kind of dull.    But the next match woke me back up.  Desmond Wolfe vs The Pope.  I really like both of these guys, and the clash of styles made this one very fun to watch.  Wolfe with his unique counters and submission holds, and The Pope with his rather unorthodox moves, and entertaining character.  I wouldn’t mind seeing this feud go on a little longer, because I think given a bit more time they could have some really excellent matches.    The next one up was Beer Money, going up against Kevin Nash and 6-Pac (Sean Waltman)  I guess Scott Hall didn’t feel up to it, so they wrote him out by having him lose a game of rock, paper, scissors to Waltman, who replaced him in the match.  I have always liked Beer Money, so seeing them in this match was all good for me.  Nash and Waltman actually looked pretty good during this one, so surprisingly this turned out to be a better tag match than I had hoped.  In fact, It think It was better than the one for the TNA tag team championship earlier on.  Now on to our second surprise of the evening.  Earlier in the show, Abyss (while protecting Eric Bischoff)  laid out Bobby Lashley. So Hulk sent him to the ring to face a Mystery opponet.  That person turned out to be Mr Anderson. (Formerly Kennedy)  Seeing Anderson back, and now with TNA was great.  The match itself, maybe not so much.  Its hard when you dont have any lead up to a match like this, and I’m sure Anderson would have beneffited from having a couple of warm up bouts, but in all It was a good enough outing.  I for one am very happy to see Anderson back, and I think if he is used properly, can be a big boost for the ratings.  Finally we get to the main event.  Kurt Angel facing off with A.J. Styles.  I’m not sure what else to say about these two when they wrestle, except that It’s always good.  Lots interesting twists in this match, and one involving Ric Flair who came down to ringside to watch the action. But of course you will have to watch for yourself. Despite this being a very good match, I would like to see these two go their own way, and face somebody else.  There is more than enough talent now to keep both men busy for a while.

In all, this was a good PPV.  Had a bit of a roller coaster feel at times. I am looking forward to whats next with this Hogan-Bischoff era.

Main Event Mafia vs World Elite

Sunday, October 4th, 2009

mem-victory-road-champions-psp-wallpaperworld-elite-impactWe all know Its coming.   The seeds were planted a while ago, and now the tension is mounting.  But the question is this.  When these two factions finally do go to war, who will win?  On paper this looks like an uneven matchup.  On one side you have nothing but world champions.  And on the other, we have up and comers, and former mid carders.  But taking a closer look, and breaking it down by the individuals paints a slightly different picture.  The leaders of the two groups, Kurt Angle and Eric Young seems to be a no contest.  But Angle and his bad neck won’t be around for too much longer, and Eric really has been overlooked for the quality wrestler that he is.  The edge still goes to Angle though.  Then we have the tag teams.  Booker T and Scott Steiner.  Steiner is a shell of his former self, and despite looking half decent recently, he still needs Booker to carry the load.  On the other side is the British Invasion.  They are young, and talented.  The matches they had with Team 3D prove that they can hang with the best, so Steiner and Booker might have met their match.  Now on to the Big men. Kevin Nash has looked much better in recent months, but he is also running on borrowed time.  Wold Elites strong man, Rob Terry, could certainly match power with big sexy.  But for now,  Terry is still very green.  Of course that didn’t stop the Ultimate Warrior from crushing a very aged Andre The Giant years ago.  So, on this one, It might be a draw.  Samoa Joe right now represents the X-Division as Its champion, and the closest World Elite can come to matching him is Homicide, who LOST the X-Division Title to Joe.  So I think we know who wins out on that matchup.  But that still leaves us with some people left over. Kyoshi, and Sheik Abdul Bashir.  Thats right, the World Elite wins the numbers game.  And they are still trying to expand.  Which in the long run, simply makes them even more dangerous.  So, who will win once this battle breaks out, like we all know it will?  In the short term, I would bet on the Mafia.  But I think down the road, that World Elite may be the ones left standing in the end.
